Grace Life Ministries has provided grants to several women's groups (called sanghams) in Orissa as well as training in cottage skills industries, animal husbandry, agriculture, and horticulture. Some of these groups work together with their pastors to form small businesses that provide for their family and congregational needs. This is an effective method to lift up the poor without stripping them of their dignity and confidence.

These women in Orissa are part of a micro-credit group. They have started several small businesses that are flourishing, such as candle-making, vegetable gardening, washing soap powder, etc. They have proven to be reliable and conscientious and their success is an encouragement to others. Many others have asked for aid and funds are needed to help train and equip  women to be resourceful providers for their families.
