In the town of Maesot, squatters have set up temporary homes.
A Christian organization has set up Elpis School for these undocumented
refugee children where they receive one meal a day in the feeding
program and a Christian education. Many children in Thailand who
leave school at age 15 (when the government stops financial support) end
up in brothels. In an effort to persuade the parents to keep their
children away from Bangkok where most of these brothels are located, the
school also provides cottage industry training in sewing, mechanics,
carpentry, electronics, etc. This is a worthy ministry well worth
supporting. Please consider supporting the refugee children of Thailand
